Megan Duncan is working toward a Ph.D. in mass communication at The University of Wisconsin-Madison after earning her master’s at the University of Florida. She researches the transition of newspapers into the Digital Age and the effects of that transition on American readers. Credibility is her jam. Her favorite part of the week is teaching a six-credit intensive journalism lab for students recently accepted into UW-Madison’s J-school.
She worked for five years at The Butler Eagle covering education, obituaries, breaking news and the snack desk. Before that she worked as a copy editor and paginator at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, spent time with weeklies, and held a fellowship with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s editorial department. She is a 2005 graduate of Point Park University.
